Undersea Art

An artist is creating an art exhibit on the ocean floor off Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands. These haunting sculptures of men, women and children — made of concrete and lowered onto the ocean floor — are hauntingly beautiful in photos. (Which is probably the only way we’ll ever see them.) The artist’s explanation of his inspiration and message makes the exhibit even more powerful.
