ASB, as it’s known to locals, has a fiercely loyal and dedicated body of students (and parents). Anyone we’ve encountered who has kids at ASB raves about the sense of community, the involvement of the teachers and staff, and the love of learning that the school instills. The school certainly focuses on holistic development, and prides itself on the experienced support staff who are there to counsel children or families in need. One major downside, however, makes this school inaccessible to most: the price tag. Many foreign children’s tuition is covered by their parents’ employers, but for most local kids admitted, the school is financially out of reach. Which is a shame, because any school that employs an in-house R&D team to create cutting-edge experiential learning exercises for its students is at the top of our list!
