For a nice afternoon outdoors with the family, BNAC gets our top pick. There’s plenty to explore: a pond with cool aquatic plants, a cactus corner, a rocks and minerals display, and even a little cave. The Centre’s primary objective is education about biodiversity. (We saw more birds and butterflies when we visited than you would have imagined could live this close to the Andheri train station.) But the Centre also organizes activities to teach kids about rainwater harvesting, solar energy, and wind turbines. The downside is that the Centre is open to large groups only six days a week, and opens to the general public only on Sunday from 3 to 7 pm.
