First aid training is absolutely essential in a household with small children — we advocate first aid training not only for parents, but for any frequent caretakers, including grandparents and nannies. Mumbai has recently seen a proliferation of so-called first aid courses, but upon deeper research, we’ve discovered many don’t have the qualifications needed to train according to internationally accepted standards.

Keshinee is the real deal: She is a fully qualified first aid instructor under Emergency First Response. Her training covers adult and paediatric primary and secondary first aid, including AED training. She demands the full attention of her students during her very hands-on sessions, but her ‘graduates’ walk away feeling confident in their ability to handle a stressful situation and armed with potentially life-saving skills. Put this on your must-do list if you’ve got children.
