We’re huge fans of learning through play. Arts and crafts, puzzles and experiments are all hands-on educational activities for kids that make new ideas exciting and the “lessons” stick. Bazinga Box is a start-up that uses all of these —  puzzles, games, toys, stories, science experiments and more — to make learning an interactive experience that kids enjoy.

The company sends a new box every month, each with a unique theme, like dinosaurs or the sea. This isn’t a box full of toys; every box contains four to six activities that the Bazinga team — which includes education experts — designs and builds around that theme. The activities are suitable for kids between the ages of 4 to 8 and are bright, colourful, and engaging. The dinosaur box, for example, contains blocks with ‘fossils’ hidden in them — turning kids into mini-archaeologists on a dig — as well as differently shaped pieces to custom-make their own dinosaurs.
