"No one has paid attention to remain[ing] cautious. It disappoints me," she says.

"Duty always comes first," she says.

"Anesthesia was initially scary for me. It involves a few delicate procedures. And I'm asthmatic on inhalers, so I always had tremors," she says.

"I think doctors either overdo sleep or we don't get enough. I don't think there's a middle ground," she says.

"We are over-extending, the doctor to patient ratio has long been outnumbered but we're still working," she says.

"I found out two of my long-term patients died. It is okay. We did what we could. We will do better," she says.

"I've made up my mind -- I'm not going to obsess. I'm going to unwind and not think about the last few weeks of my life," she says.

"I am just out of residency, so even though I haven't been explicitly told to nanny the [juniors], I feel a sense of responsibility toward them," she says.

"During night shifts, there are no seniors on campus, so we are the senior-most and have to be responsible for everything we do," she says.

"I can feel it getting worse," she says.
